An email sent to staff members today, November 24th, and seen by Resident Advisor, confirmed that "changes to the structure of the business" means that "a number of roles" are at risk of being made redundant.

"Anyone whose role is at risk will have already received an invite to a meeting today," the email continued. "For those who haven't, your role isn't impacted but we'd ask you to support those who are."

The exact total is unconfirmed, but a source close to the online music broadcaster revealed that a substantial percentage of the workforce, thought to be in double figures—including "some of the best people we've ever had at Boiler Room"—are affected. Plans for the future of the business will be addressed during a company-wide meeting tomorrow, November 25th. (RA has reached out to Boiler Room for comment.)

Boiler Room has endured a turbulent 2025 after it was bought by Superstruct Entertainment in January. The firm has since been met with boycotts in cities such as London, Lisbon and, most recently, Kuala Lumpur.
