Humans & AI has released a research preview of **Persimmon**, a large-scale user model designed to realistically simulate diverse human behaviors in multi-turn, multi-user chat settings. Unlike standard frontier models that exhibit limited response variation, Persimmon uses distribution matching to capture the wide range of human actions over time and across different contexts. Available via a playground and API, the model significantly outperforms existing AI in multi-user Turing tests by more closely mirroring actual human interaction.
