This policy describes the Add to AUX Chrome extension. The embedded AUX application is also covered by the AUX Privacy Policy.
When you click the extension icon, it reads the active tab's URL. When you choose Add to AUX from a context menu, it uses the page or link URL you selected. It sends that URL to https://www.aux.xyz/add to show its preview. This happens only when you invoke the extension. It does not read page bodies, inject content scripts, monitor other tabs, or automatically collect browsing history.
AUX retrieves the link's title and preview image, checks whether it has already been posted or saved, and lets you add it to your AUX or a crate. Publishing and saving can make the link, your profile attribution, and related activity visible to other AUX users.
The popup embeds AUX's website in a cross-origin frame. AUX and its service providers, including Privy, handle sign-in email or phone numbers, profile details, authentication sessions, wallet addresses, ATTN balances, and transactions you authorize. Transactions on Base are public and cannot be erased from the blockchain. AUX also processes device, network, and interaction data for operation and product analytics, including through PostHog. This includes your IP address and coarse location inferred from it; the extension requests no GPS or precise-location permission. The extension does not store your credentials, wallet keys, or a separate browsing-history database.
Data is used to provide link previews, posting, saving, crates, authentication, wallet operations, security, and product analytics. It is shared with service providers as needed to deliver these features and with other users when you publish or share content. We do not sell extension user data or use it for personalized advertising, creditworthiness, or lending. Use of data obtained through the extension is limited to these disclosed purposes and complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
You choose which links to send and whether to publish or save them. Uninstall the extension to stop its access to tabs. Manage your AUX profile, saved links, and account through AUX. Account rights, retention, and contact details are described in the AUX Privacy Policy. Public blockchain records remain public after account deletion.
